Blue Badge Guide for London Tours

I qualified as a Blue Badge tourist guide in 2002 and have been entertaining and informing since that date. I live in Tulse Hill South London with Judy, wife and supporter of 36 years, in a house we share with our daughter’s family. At the end of the garden is the main South East London railway which brings with it a plethora of wonderful wildlife - foxes, frogs, spiders, bird life and big skies.

The Blue Badge Difference

To earn the Blue Badge you must pass a series of rigorous exams set by The Institute of Tourist Guiding. The knowledge gained is easily the same as a university degree but candidates are also trained in working with groups of people. I, Simon Rodway, qualified in 2002 and I reckon my Silver Cane London walks easily fulfil all the criteria set by the Institute - to involve gentle exercise, correct information, great views and be an enjoyable social experience for all (i.e. 'a good laugh') ...
