Nell Gwynne

See the stews of Covent Garden through the eyes of the little orange seller, Nell Gwynne in the 1660s. This guttersnipe became one of our first English actresses, managing to bed the biggest sugar daddy of the day, King Charles II aka the Merrie Monarch. This is a theatre walk that takes in the oldest continually performed in space in the world, England's first major protestant church, and London's oldest restaurant. Covent Garden to Trafalgar Square.
