Tour the Roman High Road

Look it's straight as a dye. For 2000 years it's been pounded by footsore travellers. So it attracted watering holes how does 1486 grab you for a pub's foundation year? Over the last 200 years the Irish have turned up, so Kilburn High Road can now offer true London Irish boozers with proper 'sitting down music'.

Island Records kicked off in Kilburn High Road in 1960 and today Kilburn is home to pretty well everyone from Bosnians to Brazilians. And through it runs the ghostly Westbourne, London's Lost River number three. Listen as it hurries along under our feet en route to Hyde Park and the Serpentine.
